Despite her husband’s full-time job at an auto body shop, they struggle to afford both rent AND food.
Currently a stay-at-home mom, Susie is looking for work again. Resourceful and desperate, she is collecting cans in the meantime to lessen their stress. “I’m trying my best and we only come here for food when we really have to,” she said. “The food gives the kids great energy, particularly the fruits and vegetables.”
